From One Birthday To The Next

To describe me takes talent... all I can say is, "Come back here and i'll bite your legs off!" Thats my favorite line from Monty Pythons-The Holy Grail... If I haven't scared you off with that brief introduction, i guess you deserve to read some more about me.

Supposedly, this is my two hundredth post. Isnt that exciting? Well, I finally found my dashboard again. It took a half hour and a lot of thinking, but I wound up typing the right combonation of letters and so here I am. Blogging. Yippee.
Lets talk about Shabbat.
No one was home in my neck of the woods or at least I didnt see anyone. They were all hibernating it seems. No one deems me worthwhile to talk to anymore. Its all kind of sad and doublely akward when you dont remember them, but its all part of moving on and growing up I guess.
Supper was a slightly odd affair. Very yummy, but odd all the same. Avi broke a plate and so ying and yang were present at the start of the meal. It was supposedly a good omen. After reminising about canned potatoes and pot roast of old, Brenda and I sang and Abba helped shout in a few words. I went to nofi aviv all alone. It looked like rain, but I figured the worst that could happen was that I would get wet, and since I DONT melt in the rain it didnt really bother me. Plus, I even took a rain coat. I went straight to Raizi's house to say hello, because I hadnt seen her in a while and she had brought a chanichah home with her. Well, she wasnt there her parents told me when I knocked on the door, but she was probably at the park. So I went looking and didnt find her. So I got Sara to join me in my search and help me not feel so lonely and out of place. I am not overly fond of nofi aviv, but they live there so אין לי ברירה I guess. We walked around and then decided to just wait at the edge of her street and then we would pounce when she got there. It was a good idea, because about ten minutes later, Raizi came walking down the street in her lovely purple coat with two Ethiopian girls. We shmoozed for a while and had interesting conversations. The type of conversations that you can only have when Raizi, Sara, and I are the ones having the conversation. Finally it got late... 10:15 and we all said our goodbyes and Sara walked me to the end of nofi aviv in the rain. I feel like a little kid. I used to know exactly what I wanted, but now my vision is slightly altering and I think that i'm not as certain that I want my future to be how I had originally shaped it. I think nursing would be really really cool, so I might just go for it. The only problem is that there is so much that goes on in between when I decide something and when I actually get to do it, that I might change my mind again when the time comes. We shall see. To many unexpected factors start popping up and my mind hasnt coped with them in fairytale land, so I may or may not be a nurse, writer, musician, pyschologist, music therapist, part time mountain climber, when I grow up =) At least I know I want to go somewhere, right? Oh! now how does all of this pertain to my topic? That topic being all about what I did this shabbat, I told sara that nursing sounded, well looked since I get a first hand view every single day, pretty cool and she told me that I would be a very good nurse because I am a nice person even when I am mean. It all works out in some strange way. Anyway, I made it home before it start raining heavily and all was good. I, being the genius that I am, had left the heat on very slightly in my room, so it was the perfect temperature and I fell asleep after reading for a little while, very comfortable and happy.
I wwoke up in good time to make it to shul this morning. It was a fascinating פרשה for all those that missed it. מתן תורה! How exciting?!?!?! Lunch was a collection of new recipes and most of them were very good. At least the ones that I tried. sorry mum, I only do slugs when they are smother in tomato sauce and bread crumb with a bit of cheese in between. I dont like them cold with chick peas. Well I wouldnt know actually, because I didnt try it. Oh well, theres always next time. After lunch I went upstairs, decided that I was freezing, covered myself with four blankets and then read the remainder of the book that I had started the night before. At four o clock I looked at my watch and saw that it was four o clock. I also noticed that I had finished my book and was reading the glossary and pronunciation of names that were at the very end of the book. I hate it when they dont write THE END. Brenda and I went to get some fresh air, so when we got to Saba and Savats house we took Savta out for some airing after she confirmed my suspisions that she had been inside all day, We sat outside for a while and then it got chilly so went in and Savta put together a lovely סעודת שלישית for us. I always feel so healthy! Its so nice!
Then Shabbos went away and Saba came back to make havdalah.
So... That was my Shabbat from start to finish...

לילה טוב לכולם ושבועה טוב!!!!!
